Specialized Massage
Manual lymph drainage (MLD) is a specialized massage techniques performed to stimulate the flow of lymph from an affected area.
Light sweeping MLD movements encourage the flow of lymph into the lymphatic capillaries that are located just under the skin.
Stronger MLD strokes cause the lymph to flow into the lymphatic vessels deeper with the tissues.
Specialized stronger MLD massage movements are performed to soften fibrotic tissues.
