Katie Brockert graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in Austin, TX and her Bachelor of Science from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. During her doctoral clinical rotations, she treated patients with neurological and orthopedic diagnoses and dysfunctions. It was on these rotations that she fell in love with the neurological population, specifically those with Parkinson disease (PD).
Her love for people with Parkinson’s (PwP) was invigorated after taking the PWR!Moves Therapist Training and Certification Workshop. This PWR!Moves program is a PD-specific skill training program to maintain or restore skills that deteriorate and interfere with everyday movements. Dr. Farley created PWR!Moves® as the EVOLUTION of her original LSVT BIG® exercise program.
